Dumplings

Description

Dumplings are usually added to peas soup or jiggs dinner during the last ten minutes of cookiing and is usually served as a substitute for bread or pastry. They are quick and easy to make. Enjoy!

Ingredients

6-8

2 cups flour
2½ tsp baking powder
1 tbsp sugar
1¼ cups water

Methods/steps

  1. Put the dry ingredients into a bowl.
  2. Gradually add water and stir until you have a sticky dough.
  3. Add a little flour and roll dough into small balls.
  4. Do not over mix.
  5. Drop the dumplings into the pea soup.
  6. Makes about 8 dumplings.

Additional Tips

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 8-10 minutes (turn over halfway through
cooking) 

 Servings: 6-8

Note: This recipe can also be used with Jiggs Dinner.
